An incense stand made from volcanic stone from Mt. Asama, pierced with a small hole. Designed to let ash settle directly onto the stone, it invites you to observe how each trace of incense subtly alters its surface over time—an unfinished object with no final form.

"still" series は、石への最小限の介入によって、石と外部との関係をひらき直し、変化を抱えながらもなお石であり続ける"開かれた静物"の試み。
"stand" ではわずかに穴をあけ、香炉や香立てとして火を灯すことで、火と灰・そして時間の変化が、石との関係をゆっくり育てていくシリーズ。
